Design Thinking

The image above depicts the process of design thinking. We all in some or the other way follow this process in our everyday life. The role of designer is to find a balance between these factors and synthesizing the data into a some form of a structure. With every new problem we need new ways of thinking in order to design better solutions, services and experiences for the end user. Einstein once said, “ we can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

The core of design thinking is to understand customer’s want and needs. With so many systems being rapidly introduced, be it society, organizations, communities or how people collaborate with each other, designers are required to work amongst these and have an open mindset and empathize with the situations. Similarly in entrepreneurship, designers have a role to be able to identify right set of market, the stakeholders and respective consumer. Along with that to be able to solve problems effectively and generate better solutions and services for the target audience.

Design thinking leads to innovate and iterate. Innovation comes with a clear and better understanding of surroundings and people that designers are creating for. For an innovation to make a good impact, ideas are to be generated in numbers, tested and implemented to understand the problems in a deeper way.
